| Addi 800 - Artist Spotlight |

When you do everything you can to make a piece of music sound as great as possible, there is a vital link in the chain that shouldn't go unnoticed. And it won't, at least not here. Mixing. In our opinion mixing should always be put in the hands of people who do it for a living. And we're never disappointed. Our mixes may sound fine, but we are always pleasantly surprised when we hear what real mixing engineers have done to them. We rely on Addi 800 for mixing our work and making good stuff sound even better. Saying that Addi has had a final hand in almost all significant icelandic music projects in Iceland the last decade or so is probably not exaggerating. We were tempted to post his client list here, but it is too long and would bore you. We will tell you that he has worked with Morten Harket, producers such as Ian Morrow (Seal,Trevor Horn,Wet Wet Wet), William Orbit (Madonna , Blur) Stephen Street (The Smiths, The Cranberries , Blur, Morrissey), Jive Jones (Anastasia, Mandy Moore) Steve Albini (Nirvana, PJ Harvey) and Mick Glossop (The Waterboys, Lloyd Cole, Frank Zappa) because we know you like to know impressive stuff like that. He has recorded and mixed all over the world, in famous and infamous studios, but even more importantly, he is an extremely likable guy with a strong passion for his work. So we would like to consider him an integral part of our team. Here is the home of Studio Syrland, where he works his magic. ![]() |
